The Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Héctor "El Father" says that we shouldn’t point fingers to any of the sectors in Puerto Rico, where they have been fatalities and the number of murders keeps rising in the island, and instead we should fix the problem. Ritmo son Latino reported that during a give away of tickets for a concert on February 26 that El Father is going to perform, he said, “We need to fix the problem, if we don’t is going to continue. We shouldn’t point fingers and look for someone to blame, we are here to attack the problem because by pointing fingers we are not going to fix anything”.
“Puerto Rico is going thru a wave of violence and I’m going to reach to my audience just like how I did with a “perreo” song and ballads, and the message will be not to point finger and blame someone”, he added.Comparing with the numbers from last year, the murders have duplicated in Puerto Rico. Anibal Acebedo, governor of the Caribbean island, had to put in maximum alert the National Guards. One of El Father’s project in Puerto Rico is to put up a center to help young kids and make them be part of something good. “We have only one life and we should learn how live it”, he concluded.
