Fulano reveals his secrets to co-writing songs
New York, March 12, 2007 - Two-time Grammy Nominated, singer/songwriter, Elsten “ Fulano ” Torres is a contemporary bilingual artist recognized for his uniquely original musical style. This successful performer stands out as an individual, with his eclectic pop rock Latin songs and their sundry worldly grooves, Cuban meets British melodies and starry-eyed heart-felt lyrics. Cuban-born Elsten Torres a.k.a Fulano grew up in New York City, where at an early age he developed his skills as a singer/songwriter by performing in several original bands. In 1992, he co-wrote, and co-produced his first Latin Alternative album, ATAQUE, which was released through the Mexican Label T.H. Rodven. He moved to Miami in 1994, where shortly after he formed his band, Fulano de Tal. The band recorded the critically acclaimed Latin-Alternative album, Normal through BMG/RCA , and in 2000, a 2nd album, Etc, was also well-received & highly praised. Besides being a well-known performer, fulano is also a well-respected songwriter, signed with Warner/Chappell Music Publishing since 1997. He has had his songs recorded by such artists as: Obie Bermudez, Luis Fonsi, Ednita Nazario, Julio Iglesias Jr., Alejandra Guzman and Michael Stuart. fulano, award- winning performer and songwriter, continues to play a major role in the evolving music scene in Miami and abroad.
